Spring spruce-up

You and your family can help tidy up your neighborhood for the coming summer months by lending a helping hand during the Great American Cleanup. You can pitch in by sprucing up a local playground or nature trail, planting trees or collecting debris from area roads, parks and shorelines, among other tasks. (Last year, more than 2 million volunteers cleaned up 4,000 playgrounds and 2,000 miles of trails, planted more than 130,000 trees, and collected more than 150 million pounds of litter.
