Literacy ends poverty. Reading is where it all begins. Join us.

Marymount of Santa Barbara

At its heart, a Marymount education is student-centered. Building on a 75-year tradition of excellence, we have crafted a unique learning experience that blends mastery of core subjects with acquisition of the essential skills students need to navigate and be successful in a rapidly evolving world.  In every level—from junior kindergarten to eighth grade—Marymount students learn and grow in respectful, encouraging, and safe surroundings.

Our objective is to use magazines to better the education of our students and improve literacy for an even better generation. Magazines are so great because, unlike books, they can offer up-to-date information on the world around us and are specific to certain interests of the students.
