Widen

Widen is a global technology leader sharing its best of breed digital media flow solutions – from premedia services to elegant web-based digital asset management (DAM) software – to power our literacy mission, including smartimage and the Widen Media Collective, a cloud-based digital asset management platform. Widen people are invested in MagazineLiteracy.org, organizing magazine recycling initiatives, and providing valuable products, services, and technical training and support to advance our literacy cause.

    Needs: 20 magazines per week
    Magazines Requested: Car, Cooking, Traveling, Gardening, Organic Farming, Science, Nature, Body Building, and Religion magazines.

  • Loogootee Elementary

    School
    Loogootee, IN
    Serving male and female students from kindergarten to third grade.
    Needs: Enough magazines for 1-20 low level readers and 1-20 medium level readers from the months of August through June.

  • Maryland Correctional Institution–Jessup (MCIJ)

    School or Library
    Jessup, Maryland
    Serving male adults 18-60 years of age. From pre-literacy to varying reading levels.
    Needs magazines for 30 students monthly
    Magazines Requested: Students enjoy nonfiction magazines with lots of pictures and short articles–this would include magazines about animals, geography, science, food, clothing, anything relevant to today’s world. National Geographic for Kids would be wonderful.
